Diagnosis
A hernia can be diagnosed easily based on a physical checkup. However, certain imaging tests can help confirm the diagnosis, such as:

Treatment
Definitive treatment of hernia is done through surgery in which the affected part is surgically removed. The following surgical methods are commonly used to treat hernia:
